Essential/Watershed Records’ singer/songwriter Bebo Norman
will embark on his first-ever world tour starting August 6th and extending
through August 29th. Norman will make stops in
South Africa, Kenya, Holland, Scotland, England and Switzerland to promote
his sophomore album, Big Blue Sky.
During his first stop in South Africa he’ll perform for crowds in the cities
of Durban and Pietermartizburg. He’ll also spend time interviewing with
national Christian and secular media outlets. Before leaving for Kenya,
Norman will get the opportunity to visit one of South Africa’s famous game
reserves.
While in Kenya, Bebo will maintain a tight schedule of live performances
along with back-to-back national television and radio appearances.
Following a whirlwind of media and concert events, Bebo will fly to Holland
where he will perform at the Flevo Festival- the largest Christian music
festival in Europe (averaging a crowd of 15,000 fans). Bebo will also have
the opportunity to participate in the Flevo Festival press conference, which
will host both Christian and secular media representing every European
region.
After his appearance at the Flevo Festival, Bebo will travel to Edinburgh,
Scotland and perform for secular crowds at the Edinburgh Festival.
Following extensive radio, television, and print interview sessions in
Scotland Norman will fly to England where he’ll round-table with national,
English media. After appearing at live events throughout the week he’ll cap
off his time in England with a performance at the Greenbelt Festival.
The final countries on Bebo’s tour are Switzerland and Amsterdam where he’ll
perform at the first annual Mont Mirail festival. He’ll also make a special
appearance at the Provident Music Group European Sales Conference which will
be held at the Seeblick Conference Center in the heart of Switzerland.
Bebo Norman is known and respected for his gift as a singer and songwriter;
he’s also widely recognized for his chart topping sales. Each of his
Essential Records projects, Ten Thousand Days and Big Blue Sky, debuted on
the Billboard Internet Sales charts at number three and number five
respectively; even surpassing album debuts by Sarah McLachlan, Jennifer
Lopez, The Backstreet Boys, Kid Rock, and Ricky Martin.
Bebo was named Christian music’s best new artist in Europe in 2000. He has
also been featured on the cover of CCM, Release Magazine, Christian Singles,
Bottomline (a Dutch Christian music magazine), Believe Magazine and many
others.
