Breaking this year’s record for the highest sales debut for a new artist, new Essential Records pop group True Vibe has added another significant accolade to its growing list of accomplishments. The group’s very first radio single, “Now and Forever,” has topped the charts on both the Radio & Records Christian CHR and The CCM Update CHR charts. The multi-format hit song is also Top 5 for the second consecutive week on the Adult Contemporary (AC) chart (The CCM Update). News of the accomplishment reached the group members as they were on their way to Virginia Beach, Va., for a guest appearance on The 700 Club.

In addition to radio, True Vibe will be making its first appearance on the nationally televised The 700 Club. The group will perform the new single live to tape, as well as complete an interview. True Vibe’s self-titled release has already become the year’s highest-selling debut when it appeared in stores during the month of May. Remarkably, True Vibe had performed live for more than one million people even before the release of the project, including 11 sold-out concerts with the multi-GRAMMY winning group Destiny’s Child and a nationwide promotional tour, which included an astounding 3,000-member crowd at a single retail event held in Seattle’s Alderwood Mall. Following The 700 Club appearance, the group travels to Europe for a promotional tour and immediately returns to the US to join multi-platinum-selling teen pop sensation and Jive Records recording artist Aaron Carter on his “TEENick Presents Aaron’s Party” summer tour. True Vibe will perform with Carter in 20 major markets, large venues across the country. The tour is being sponsored by TEENick, Nickelodeon’s audience-specific programming that airs Sunday evenings and features the latest news on celebrities and style.
