Grammy-award winning, Sparrow recording artist Steven Curtis Chapman recorded a Christmas song, “A Winter Carol,” which will be featured on a special holiday episode of the CBS drama series, “Touched By An Angel” which will air in a special timeslot this Sunday, December 16, 8:00PM ET/PT. Written by David Wells, Chapman recorded “A Winter Carol” specifically for the show. “Touched By An Angel,” now in it’s eighth season, regularly airs on Saturday evenings. The show is executive produced by Martha Williamson and stars Roma Downey, Della Reese, John Dye and Valerie Bertinelli.
According to Williamson, “We have wanted to work with Steven ever since “Touched By An Angel” began. God knew before we did that this would be the time we’d need Steven’s talents more than ever. We are truly honored to have his remarkable voice on our special Christmas episode.” This heart warming episode, also titled “A Winter Carol,” deals with the aftermath of the September 11th terrorist attack. The poignant story focuses on a child who has lost someone very close to him, and although fictional, it will resonate with children and teens that are experiencing a wide range of emotions related to the real events of September 11th.
Chapman’s recording of “A Winter Carol,” produced by Brown Bannister, will be featured during the hour-long show.
