Praise in the Park!

Starting on Saturday, September 10, there will be an open praise and worship jam session in Centennial Park each week from 4 PM until dark. Musicians, singers, and worshippers from congregations across the Nashville area are invited to come lift up the Lord in the heart of Nashville. All styles, songs and ages are welcome.
Our desire is to create a Nashville tradition which will serve as a springboard for ministry, outreach, and interdenominational fellowship, as well as being a witness to Nashville of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We intend to worship in the park each Saturday afternoon this Fall as long as the weather permits, and to start up again in the Spring.
We won’t be playing on the outdoor stage. This is not about performance; it’s about lifting Jesus up in the public sphere and exalting His name. We’ll be meeting in a Magnolia grove on the other side of the Parthenon from the stage and the lake, and playing in a casual group around the picnic benches. Feel free to bring blankets, kids, even Frisbees and food. The focus is Jesus, the purpose is outreach, the vehicle is praise.
Bring instruments, voices, friends, and a heart for worship. For more information, go to www.ProjectPraise.org and click on the “Outreach” link on the left.
