Nashville First Church News In Brief (May 13)

First Church of the Nazarene
510 Woodland Street
Nashville, TN
Dr. Gary Allen Henecke, Pastor
A Word from Pastor Henecke
God, who spoke and all existence began, has chosen to create us with the
capacity to hear him. The very first humans to recognize his call began to
address him as “the Living God.” He differs from all the gods of our
creation, because he is real and he lives. As the Living God, he speaks. We
have ears to hear the sound waves of the earth. From the morning lark to the
roar of an ocean tide, we hear nature and from the sweet symphony to the
thunder of a roaring jet, we can hear our own creations. But beyond the
vibrations of all our delicate inner ears and the interpretations of our
minds, there are sounds that come from the invisible God that are real. Let
those who have ears listen.
