A partnership between ForeFront Records and Multnomah
Publishers was announced today, with the two companies agreeing to work
together to create a six song EP around Multnomah’s best-selling book, The
Prayer of Jabez.
“I’m very excited about this partnership between Multnomah, Bruce and
ForeFront,” said Don Jacobson, President and Publisher of Multnomah. “The
Prayer of Jabez continues to change the lives of people around the world,
including each of us involved in this project and in particular the artists
who are contributing to this CD.”
The Prayer of Jabez, authored by Dr. Bruce Wilkinson, is currently sitting
at the #1 spot on the best sellers list for the New York Times, Publishers
Weekly, Amazon.com, CBA Marketplace and Christian Retailing, and has sold
nearly four million copies, since it’s release 11 months ago.
As the President of Walk Thru the Bible and WorldTeach, Bruce Wilkinson
leads a global organization with over 10,000 Bible teachers ministering in
50 nations. “I have been overwhelmed by the success of The Prayer of Jabez,
and the impact it is having in so many people’s lives,” stated Bruce.
“Adding the element of music will only serve to deepen its impact in the
lives of those touched by Jabez’s prayer.”
The concept driven project will showcase original pieces, performed by
artists who have been impacted by the book. The Prayer of Jabez, based on I
Chronicles 4:10, examines each part of an extremely powerful prayer; “Oh,
that you would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that your hand
would be with me, and that you would keep me from evil, that I may not cause
pain.”

Don on this project.”
The EP, is set for release in August and will be available through Chordant and EMD
distribution.
More details of the partnership will be made available during a press
conference to be held in Atlanta during CBA International Convention in
July.
