Greenhouse Ministries to Roof a Church

Plans are being made to put decking on the roof of Galilee Baptist Church in Shelbyville on Saturday, January 26.
Volunteers representing six different churches, with the help of a crane loaned by Elrod and Mingle, put trusses on the church in early December. We are going to need a lot of people who can help lift, place, and nail the plywood in place. There are no skills required. There will be people there to provide the espertize needed. The roof is not steep, 4 x 12 pitch, therefore there is little danger of falling.
Three years ago Galilee Baptist Church hired a contractor to build their building. After pouring the floor and putting up the block walls he left with the balance of their funds. When Pastor Robert L. Stephenson shared this with the Thursday morning pastor?s prayer group we committed to get volunteers to furnish the labor to put the roof in place.
Please announce this to your adult and college age Sunday School classes. We will start work at 8:30. Lunch will be served (This will be a special treat).
To get to the church from Murfreesboro; Take 231 South to Shelbyville and turn right at the first traffic light, Shelbyville Lumber will be on your right. Go one block and turn right on —Street. The church will be one block on your left.
