I had a great evening Monday at the GMA Week
convention. In the early evening I interviewed Jason Ingram, who spoke of his
calling to do worship music and to inspire today’s youth. Watch for a full
feature on Jason in the near future!
For dinner, Kathryn treated me to some enchiladas,
rice, and beans at SATCO (San Antonio Taco Comany) I then enjoyed the Word
Evening Concert at the Ryman Auditorium. I saw great performances by 4Him,
Mark
Schultz, Nicole C. Mullen, and the legendary Amy Grant, performing a blend old
and new hymn arrangements with husband Vince Gill.
From the Ryman I headed to the Rocketown Launch Pad,where I saw great acoustic
performances by Ginny Owens, Chris Rice, Watermark and Wayne Kirkpatrick.
Wayne
did a surprise rendition of the current Dr.Pepper jingle that he wrote and
recorded with Garth Brooks…More details to follow.
