Dear People of God who are determined to love God with all your hearts and your neighbors as yourself, you who are becoming like Jesus, you who are forgiven of all your sins, past, present and future in the redeeming work of
this Messiah, you who have a secure future-
Greetings in the Name, the Name above every name!
May the Father pour His love into your hearts today. May the Holy Spirit
surround you, comfort and strengthen you. May Adonai Yeshua HaMaschiach
(the Lord Jesus the Promised Messiah), live inside you and transform you
into His likeness.

At this season of giving I pray that all of us will become radical, lavish,
generous, profuse, bountiful, hilarious givers, that we will enjoy giving,
that we will find things to give, that we will give away things we don’t
need and even things we need, even things we don’t normally give away like
cars, TVs and stereos, our own clothes and jewels, antiques, heirlooms, even
houses and lands, and yes money. Give away time and attention and listening
ears with hearing hearts. May we learn the joy of giving.
Our Redeemer said that if we would give, it would be given to us, good
measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over would be poured into
our laps, because the measure we give would be the measure we get!
Give the very thing you need. Like seed, it will come back to you
increased. Is this not what the wise man said, “Cast your bread on the
waters and it will return after many days?” If you need friends, give away
friendship. If you need attention, give away attention. If you need
comfort, give away comfort. If you need money, give away money. If you
need to be appreciated, appreciate others. If you need to be understood,
give others your full attention; listen carefully and hear their hearts. If
you need prayer, pray for others.
King David said, “I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the
righteous forsaken or their children begging bread. They are always
generous and lend freely, their children are blessed.” Amen! This is true.
May it be so.
Rabbi Saul (the apostle Paul) said, “God is able to make all grace abound to
you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will
abound in every good work. You will be made rich in every way so that you
can be generous on every occasion.” A lot of superlatives in those
sentences! Remember also that riches are more than money and things! This
same apostle assured us that if our giving is sparse, we can expect sparse
returns; if our giving is generous, we can experience generous outpourings
in return.
The most miserable people I have ever known in life are those who have not
learned this lesson. They are self-centered, always wanting, wanting more,
complaining, feeling sorry for themselves. The happiest people are those
who are constantly giving, thinking of others, giving themselves away. Is
this not what the Master said? Those who lose their lives find it.
I pray that we will more and more be able to lose our lives for others and
experience the glorious satisfying indwelling of God: Emmanuel, God with us.

Be stretched in the Name of Jesus!
