Platinum-selling vocalist Jaci
Velásquez was met by over 6500 fans on the recent 23- city “Top Secret”
radio promotional tour, with fans anticipating the release of her upcoming
Unspoken album release on March 25th.
The nationwide promotional tour, dubbed “Top Secret” by the record label,
gave Velásquez the opportunity to personally deliver her upcoming Unspoken
release as well as meet fans in local Christian radio markets. Each visit
included a 2-hour live broadcast and a meet-and-greet time for Velásquez to
sign autographs, as well as a retail tie-in for fans to pre-buy the album.
The 23 markets included Miami, Sarasota, Greenville, Columbia, Charlotte,
Atlanta, Birmingham, Dallas, Forestburg, Amarillo, Tulsa, Springfield,
Rockford, Chicago, Fort Wayne, South Bend, Kalamazoo, Grand Rapids, Holland,
Cleveland, Columbus, and Orlando.
The first radio single “You’re My God” debuts on AC radio this week. With
54 AC reporters spinning it ‘out of the box’ Velásquez’ song garners a spot
as one of the most added AC singles in the history of Christian AC Charts.
“Having an appearance with Jaci for our listeners was ‘off the hook'” said
Steve Brown of WFHM “The Fish” in Cleveland. “We were blown away at the
reaction, considering she had just been in town for a show a few weeks
earlier…She is definitely on the A-List of the Fish Artist Roster.”
Velásquez will embark on a nationwide tour in support of Unspoken in the
spring as well as a second leg of dates in the Fall 2003. Fans can support
the new album and tour by joining her street team at www.jacivelasquez.com . Also coming in 2003 is a Spanish language
