SXSW/Rhubarb Hits Infamous Conference in Austin

.As’s most downloaded band of 2000,
inpop records’ band RHUBARB, have won a trip to perform at South By
Southwest (SXSW), the Annual Music, Film and Interactive Conference in
Austin, Texas.

Fifteen thousand participants, including Rhubarb, from the music, film and
internet industries will converge on Austin, Texas over ten days in March to
participate in three distinct yet related festivals, conferences and trade
shows. In the past fifteen years, SXSW has evolved into a unique global
event focused on the creative side of the entertainment business. Designed
to function on many levels, SXSW is a place to showcase work, market
products, foster relationships, discuss the future, learn and teach.
Unique in concept, renowned for execution and treasured by participants,
SXSW is an essential event for understanding tomorrow’s entertainment
industry today.
SXSW Music, Film and Interactive Conferences’ international reputation as a
gathering place for creative people has developed as a result of attracting
such participants as:
Beck, Tony Bennett, Sandra Bullock, David Byrne, Shawn Colvin, Ron Howard,
Elizabeth Hurley, Wyclef Jean, Moby, Iggy Pop, Todd Rundgren, Patti Smith,

Rhubarb’s KAMIKAZE released with rave reviews in the CBA market in November,
and will release through EMD March 13th. The album already received a
4-star review in Rolling Stone (Australia), and has appeared on MTV
Unplugged Downunder. Inpop also released the songs “Zero” and “Want Me
Back” to Triple A and college radio this month.
