For over 5 years, Latin gospel listeners in the US and Puerto Rico have known Puchi Colon as a young vocalist dedicated to the music ministry. Throughout the years, he has poured love and passion into the ministry that God has placed in his heart. At the age of twelve, Puchi began playing keyboards in church and since that time has become an accomplished arranger and producer. He recognizes that his talent is a gift from God and should be used to bring glory to His kingdom.
Puchi’s first production “Voy A Comenzar” (Penvel Records) was recorded in 1996, which opened many doors for him and his ministry. Subsequently in 1997, God led Brother Ralph Hernandez and Jose “Rock” Lopez to establish the band; and soon after they added members Carlos Carrasquillo, Roberto Morales, Ralph Dingui Jr., and Mike Colon. Since that time, Puchi Colon and his band have been touring the United States spreading the gospel through music and testimony.
Puchi resides in New Jersey with his wife JoAnn and his four children Gabriel, Mickael, Joel and Samuel. They attend Ark of Refuge Christian Center in nearby Hamilton, New Jersey. Puchi and JoAnn believe that the Lord has united them to work for His kingdom and reach souls in need of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
