Love won upon the Cross that Day
Not Death, the Day He died
Hope was born anew as
He succumbed, Christ the crucified.
He was beaten, yet not slain
Defeat was for His foes
Victory came behind the love
Strengthened with many blows.
The soldiers jeered, the two thieves cried,
The judges washed their hands.
The Word was glorified that day
God’s Bond, real now, for all lands.
He gave His All so we might live
The price was paid for all.
He sets us free,as we need
No longer is there a wall.
