The Covering, a new Christian based support group will launch September 14, 2006 for those with a tainted past or who currently struggle with issues often considered too taboo to discuss in mainstream church circles. The goal of the group is to provide a safe, supportive, non-judgmental haven for inner-healing, spiritual growth and transparent relationship building between each other and the Lord.
Persons who might benefit include those struggling with addictions or sexual identity issues, ex-cons, persons affected by an abortion or with a sexually transmitted disease to name a few.
The group will meet bi-Weekly starting on Thursday, September 14, 2006, from 7 p.m.-8:30 p.m. at Belmont Church. Asaph’s Building (corner of 16th & Grand on Music Row). Free parking is available across the street. Light refreshments will be served.
