Gotee and the Creepy EP!

Gotee Records is taking innovative steps to market
the August 28th release of Relient K’s second recording, “The Anatomy of
the Tongue in Cheek.”
The label’s CBA market efforts began last weekend at the Alive and Atlanta
Fest summer festivals, where the band sold nearly 1,000 copies of “The
Creepy EP.”
The EP, (which is also available at, is a
special sampler featuring two cuts from “The Anatomy of the Tongue In
Cheek,” (“Pressing On” and “Words Are Not Enough”), as well as two
unreleased mixes of songs from the new project (“Pressing On- Backporch” and
“Softer to Me,” acoustic). The sampler also boasts two songs that cannot be
found on any other recorded product, “Operation,” and “Jefferson Airplane –
demo version.”
“I am blown away at the demand and anticipation that exists within many
festival goers for Relient K’s upcoming release,” said Gotee’s Senior
Manager of Marketing Ben Eisner. “As soon as people realized that snippets
from the new album were available to sample at the Gotee booth, the line
never stopped.”
In partnership with Gotee, Relient K will offer free concert tickets to fans
that purchase the new CD in targeted SoundScan markets on the band’s
co-headline tour this fall with Five Iron Frenzy (also featuring Gotee label
mate John Reuben as well as Ace Troubleshooter). Markets include
Minneapolis, Columbus, Canton and Des Moines.
Relient K and Gotee will launch the release of “The Anatomy of the Tongue In
Cheek” on street date (8.28), in the band’s hometown of Columbus, OH, at the
Virgin Megastore in the Easton Town Center.
