Recently, Best-selling author, renowned financial advisor and radio personality
DAVE RAMSEY joined Dawson McAllister for “Dawson McAllister Live” to talk with
teenagers about money. The show’s theme that night was “you, God, and your
money.”
Dave talks daily with adults via his national radio show, The
Dave Ramsey Show, and he says teens ask the same questions as adults. “When
we speak at high schools, we do a hand count of kids that have credit cards,
credit card debt, and car payments. The show of hands is staggering.
Typically we see about 70% of the kids raise their hands,” says Ramsey. “If
we don’t teach these basic principles to our young people, they won’t be
prepared for the real world.”
Dave, the author of two New York Times best sellers, Financial Peace and More
Than Enough, will release his latest youth curriculum, No Matter What, on
June 15. No Matter What is geared toward teaching teens about money at youth
camps, on retreats and in Sunday school classes.
