As you may already be aware, the United States Copyright Office is increasing registration fees as of July 1, 2006 from $30.00 to $45.00 for most applications. Almost all documentary filing fees to the Copyright Office have increased. (Here’s a link to the United States Copyright Office website page listing the new fees: www.copyright.gov)
Any applications received in the U.S. Copyright Office on or after July 1, 2006 will be subject to the new fees.
If you own or control material that is subject to copyright protection, is not yet registered and wish to obtain a registration, now is the time to do so.
