Billboard has called him “the single most electrifying voice in Christian music.” Now Russ Taff is bringing one of the most recognizable voices in Christian music to Nashville’s 3rd & Lindsley on Oct. 23.
Legendary Christian artist Russ Taff first came to national attention when he was lead vocalist for The Imperials from 1977–1981. Taff has also been a member of the Gaither Vocal Band as well as a solo artist and has performed pop rock, traditional southern gospel, contemporary country music, and rhythm and blues during his long career. Over the course of his career, Taff won six Grammy awards and 11 Dove Awards. His latest CD, “Faroe Islands,” was nominated in three categories at this year’s GMA Dove Awards, where he was also honored with a special “Russ Taff Tribute.”
Today Taff is re-connecting with the legions of fans that he developed back in the 80’s and early 90’s by making a special Nashville appearance at the popular music venue 3rd & Lindsley on Tuesday, October 23 at 8 p.m. Taff will hit the stage with The Alternators, performing his biggest hits from such projects as “Wall of Glass,” “Medals” and “The Way Home.”
“It is rare to see Russ Taff in concert in Nashville,” says event promoter John Birdwell of Charles Dorris and Associates. “Especially with a full band and doing songs from his Grammy-winning records.”
“This is going to be so much fun,” said Taff about the upcoming show at 3rd & Lindsley. “I can’t wait to go onstage with James Hollihan again. It’s been way too long. And the Alternators are some of the best studio and live musicians in town. It will be an honor to play with them.”
Tickets for the 8:00 PM Russ Taff show are $12.00 and are on sale now through the website at www.3rdandlindsley.com.The show is expected to be a sellout.
