Music industry icon and RIAA certified platinum
selling artist CeCe Winans received four Dove Award nominations today
including one for the prestigious category of Female Vocalist of the Year.
Most nominations surround her latest CD, Throne Room, the first venture
for her INO/PureSprings/Epic recording partnership.
Today’s nominations included Female Vocalist of the Year (an honor she has
won twice before), Praise & Worship Album of the Year, Praise and Worship
song of the Year for “Throne Room”, and Contemporary Gospel Recorded Song
for “Hallelujah Praise.” These are CeCe’s first nominations in the Praise
and Worship categories.
Throne Room debuted at #1 on both the Billboard Contemporary Christian and
Gospel charts, and has consistently remained one of the top 5 sales
leaders in those categories as it approaches gold status.
CeCe has launched a 25 – city mega church tour and just recently released
her first book with Integrity Publishers, Throne Room. In between dates,
she is also working on her next project, scheduled to release in the fall
of 2004.
