~ Psalms 65:8–You make the dawn and the sunset shout for joy ~
They who dwell in the ends of the earth stand in awe of Your signs; You make the dawn and the sunset shout for joy.
— Psalms 65:8 New American Standard Bible – NASB 1995
Scripture contains several references to nature proclaiming the glory of God. Psalm 19:1 tells us, “The heavens declare the Glory of God, the skies declare the work of his hands.” (NIV)
In Psalm 67 that sentiment is repeated when David says, “The whole earth is filled with awe at your wonders, where morning dawns, where evening fades, you call forth songs of joy.”
When we falter, when we need to be reminded of God’s glory, look to the dawn and the sunset, the heavens and the skies. There His glory is revealed.
