A primary element to an overall restructuring plan, the staff advancements are designed “to meet the changing needs of the market and align our organization for growth and development,” says Word Distribution President, Mark Funderburg. “The restructure solidifies a management and operational model that streamlines the organization to focus on three primary functions: sales, marketing services and information technology (IT) & operations.”
Jim Nehs, former Senior Director of National Accounts is promoted to VP, CBA Sales. Previously managing relationships with several national Christian retail chains, Nehs will now head the field, telesales and national account divisions.
Keith Stancil, former VP, General Markets, is named VP, General Market & International Sales. Stancil will direct the General Market and International divisions, as well as interface with Warner Bros. general market distribution arm (WEA) to develop e-commerce opportunities.
Greg Fritz, former VP, Marketing, is promoted to VP, Sales & Marketing Services. Fritz will continue to oversee marketing for Word Distribution and will begin managing the sales administration team.
Lori Marty will serve as VP, IT & Operations, including overseeing the customer service department.

This realigning of the organization is a significant step toward increasing Word’s service levels through all areas of our business.”
