“With Folded Hands on Thanksgiving Day”– a Thanksgiving poem
With Folded Hands on Thanksgiving Day
With folded hands we want to say
Our thanks to You this special day.
A day that has been set aside
Because with bounty You have plied
Our country with unmeasured wealth,
Something we could not do our selves.
From north to south, from east to west
Dinners are spread and we are blest,
While freedom walks among our land,
Another gift from Your good hand.
