With so many opinions and voices teaching about Jesus we ask: Why Jesus? Which Jesus? The Jehovah’s Witnesses say he was the arch angel Michael who came to earth. They say he is “a god” and not “God.” In an attempt to be strict monotheists they are really heathen polytheists and have re-invented pagan heresies in the church.
Mormons say the Father and Son are separate and both are physical. They secretly hold that Adam (the first man and source of human error) is God. While claiming to be “last-day saints” they are actually “last-day false teachers.”
Among believers there is much confusion, but the truth is still firm. Jesus is Emmanuel – God among us. He is the one of whom the apostle wrote: “In him the fullness of God chose to dwell.” He is that Holy One who was God’s “logos” (word-expression) made flesh. He was a man. He called himself “the Son of Man” in fulfillment of prophecies, yet he was – is – and always will be God. Jesus is Lord. He is God revealing himself to us.
