W Publishing Group Announces Summer Reading Promotion

W Publishing Group has launched the Soul Survivor Series for
teen readers – written by top-selling fiction author Tim LaHaye and Bob
DeMoss, and is launching a summer promotion for the series.
Teens reading the Soul Survivor series will be able to enter a web site “fan
fic” contest based on the series. Contest details are available for teens
and parents by going to www.wpublishinggroup.com. First prize for the
contest is a wireless Instant Messaging Communicator, just like the one used
by teen characters in the Soul Survivor books. Second Prize is a limo ride
in the contest teen winner’s city with friends and family. Other prizes
include free Baskin Robbins ice cream and W Publishing Group product.
The contest encourages teens to participate in the Soul Survivor Series by
adding their own stories. Teens can choose to write a short story based on
the characters in the series (“FanFic”), or to write about something that
has happened to them or their friends that is similar to things that occur
in the Soul Survivor Series. Teens can post their entries on line atwww.soulsurvivorseries.com.
The contest runs from July 1 – August 30, 2002. Entries will be judged by a
group of professional editors, writers and teen ministers. Winners will be
announced for the back to school season – on September 30, 2002.
Teens ages 12-18 are eligible to enter and win. The writings must be based
on the Soul Survivor Series, which include books Mind Siege Project, The
Last Dance and All the Rave.
