Update on Don Finto and Raphael

The YWAM President, Frank Naea, his assistant, Joseph Watson, and another
young man, Chris (sorry I do not know his last name) went to the airport in
Cairo one last time to see if there was any way to get to Tel Aviv and later
to Amman and were finally able to find a flight. The YWAM team spent four days with Don’s
group, with Avner Boskey as their guide. Don will give a full report when
he returns.
Frank and Chris performed on two different
occasions a dance from their native tribe in New Zealand; once was with
Richard (Ayal) Frieden’s Heart Rock group. By Sunday, the YWAM team left
Tel Aviv and was able to make their connections in Amman, Jordan.
Don and Raphael had extended their stay for three days to
participate with Tom Hess in the Convocation for all Nations Prayer
Gathering. Groups from all over the world were in attendance but almost no
one from North America was able to get there because the planes in America
were grounded when they were scheduled to fly over. Don said the prayer
times at the Nations Prayer
Gathering have been very powerful.
Don does not usually fly El Al Airlines to Israel – but this time he did!
We have heard over the last few days that El Al is the standard for safe
airlines. El Al did change them to a later flight, which meant they could
not make their connecting flight to return to Nashville. Originally, they
were to arrive into Newark and leave from LaGuardia. American Airlines
cancelled all their flights for Thursday evening (not enough customers to
fly).
Then we learned that even going the short distance from Newark to
LaGuardia was a long trip because bridges and tunnels are closed or down to
one-lane of traffic. It would be best to have Don and Raphael leave from
Newark to return to Nashville. However, El Al was the only one who could
make that change since they originated the tickets BUT El Al was closed
until Thursday because of Rosh Hashanah!!!
It’s a long story, but with the Lord’s help, Don and Raphael are now holding
American Airline tickets leaving out of Newark and returning to Nashville.
With all that has happened, we are grateful they are returning home only one
day later than planned. Again, thank you very much for covering this trip
in prayer.
