Twila Paris’ first-ever lullabies album
Bedtime Prayers, Lullabies & Peaceful Worship, which released March 27th,
made its debut at number five on the children’s chart, and has held steady
in the top ten with an additional week of sales.
The album release and the excitement of Twila’s soon expected first child
are garnering much media coverage. Paris was recently a guest on Focus on
the Family’s Renewing The Heart radio program. Also forthcoming are a cover
story in Shine Magazine’s May/June issue and a guest spot on Family Life
Today Radio, to be aired April 26th and 27th. Christianity Today Online has
heralded the album as “a success because it accomplishes what it was created
to do” which is both soothe infants and provide a worshipful offering for
parents.
On the radio front, Bedtime Prayers has seen significant strides with 49
radio stations participating in a “Win It Before You Can Buy It” promotion.
The single “My Delight” was also serviced to inspirational-format stations
nationwide. Additional radio activity is planned around Mother’s Day.
Retail chains have also been key for the promotion of Twila’s lullaby
collection. The album was selected as “Feature Of The Week” on
Chordant.com, a premium offer is included in Christian Parenting Magazine’s
July/August issue, and there is a $4 off coupon insert with the actual cd.
At select retail chains, “You Are My Delight” baby bibs are being offered
free with purchase while supplies last.
A re-vamped website, www.twilaparis.com, was launched earlier this month in
support of Bedtime Prayers. Unique to the site is a section entitled
“Favorite Things” where Twila unveils recipes, books, and other personal
insights.
Bedtime Prayers, Lullabies & Peaceful Worship, produced by John Hartley
(Heaven & Earth, Celtic Lullabies) marks Paris’ eighteenth album. This
original lullaby recording takes its place in the “Sanctuary” series along
with Sanctuary and 1998’s Perennial.
Paris’ recording career has been recognized with various accolades including
32 number one singles and three Gospel Music Association Dove awards for
Female Vocalist of the Year. Fans can anticipate both a “Greatest Hits,”
complete with some newly recorded tunes, and a nationwide tour later this
year.
