The highly anticipated self-titled debut recording from Essential Records’ new pop group True Vibe was released last Tuesday amidst wide critical, and now commercial, acclaim. A remarkable feat for a debut artist, True Vibe’s stop in Seattle on the West Coast leg of its promotional tour drew nearly 3,000 people to a retail event held at Alderwood Mall (Lynnwood, WA). The event, sponsored by KCMS Spirit 105.3 FM radio (Seattle) and Christian Supply (Alderwood Mall), was enthusiastically received by new fans who rushed to the autograph signing table after True Vibe’s performance and purchased nearly 500 True Vibe CDs.
“True Vibe is showing us through listener phones, research, live performance and now CD sales that they are REALLY BIG!” remarked Scott Valentine, KCMS-FM Radio (Seattle) program director, following the Alderwood Mall event. “Their sound appeals to both parents and their kids! I believe their debut CD has a shot at being #1 in sales in Seattle next week. They’ve got the sound, the moves and most importantly the heart to be a continued success in Seattle.”
KCMS and stations all over the country are also supporting True Vibe by playing the group’s very first radio single, “Now and Forever.” The featured song on True Vibe has become a multi-format hit claiming top 10 spots and climbing on both the CHR and Adult Contemporary radio charts (The CCM Update).
