Modern-praise and worship band Tree63
returns to the U.S. this month to find their debut single “Treasure,” in the
#1 spot on CCM Update’s CHR chart, leaving their home country of South
Africa with a second #1 song on 5fm, the country’s premier secular rock
station. Once hitting U.S. shores, they will also celebrate their Dove
nomination for Rock Album of the year and hit the road with Rebecca St.
James on her Transform tour.
Reviews of their self-titled debut – currently at #23 on CCM Soundscan
charts and in the top 30 since the start of 2001 – have had nothing but
amazing things to say.
“We’re very excited to see that music fans and the industry at large are
embracing a band that we see as one of the bands that will shape the future
of our industry,” commented Steve Ford, inpop’s VP and General Manager.
Tree63 was also the opening act on SONICFLOOd’s fall 2000 U.S. tour.
Inpop plans to release a follow-up project from Tree63 in late 2001.
