Boy Scouts Abandons Name
On February 8, Boy Scouts of America will officially become ‘Scouting America’ and leave behind over 100 years of history, joining the growing rank of colleges and organizations who are getting rid of dedicated spaces for boys and young men.
However, the Boy Scouts gave up their extended fight to hold onto their core values a decade ago following years of harassment, legal battles, and pressure from LGTB organizations and the ACLU to keep the Scouts out of schools and to stop organizations from donating to them. Trail Life Stands by Commitment to Boys
Mark Hancock, CEO of Trail Life USA, the largest faith-based character development program in the nation, says Trail Life will continue to remain focused on one task: growing young boys into men.
Hancock remarked, “While the Boy Scouts abandon their traditional boy-centered roots, we are dedicated to providing boys and their families a space that is geared towards boys. It may make financial sense for them to allow girls to join the ranks. But how is this beneficial for boys in a time when so many statistics point to boys losing ground?”

Of Boys & Men
Richard Reeves from the ofboysandmen Substack agrees. “We need to be intentional about combating against male loneliness, and that we have to create spaces that are not going to create themselves.”
Reeves goes on to state that with studies showing rising rates of male loneliness, suicide and other mental health issues, “It is probably time to look much more kindly on the case for male organizations, spaces and institutions. I think we’ll look back on the decision of so many organizations, especially those focused on boys and young men, to abandon a single-sex approach as a mistake.”
He points out that if male relationships require more institutional support, society and organizations have been steadily eroding those institutions, especially the ones tailored specifically to young men and boys.
Trail Life has over 60,000 members who chose to join a traditional, non-woke, biblically based organization that is solely dedicated to developing boys. Let’s just hope the young female “gender” gremlins don’t try to claim they are boys and decide to invade the young men’s last remaining single-sex spaces and that the LGBT organizations don’t harass them into abandoning their core values.
