The Tommy Nelson 2002 Road Show Event, featuring Mr. Henry’
s Wild & Wacky World, will hit the streets on June 5th. This 50-ft rig will
stop at retail outlets, festivals, and churches attracting kids and parents
The road show activity center is housed in a large racing trailer which
‘folds out and pops up’ to create a mini-version of the Mr. Henry’s Wild &
Wacky World set. Kids and parents can explore the wild and wacky world of
Mr. Henry through a series of kiosks, each filled with different interactive
The interactive areas include the Game Center, Gadget Gallery, The Listening
Post, and a Video & Audio area. The Game Center will challenge kids in
games on video and paper, similar to those found in the video series. The
Gadget Gallery will display some of the wackiest devices created by Mr.
Henry, and will have a host of materials on hand to allow kids to invent
their own contraptions. The Listening Post will feature great new music,
videos, and giveaways from Forefront Records recording artists like Audio
Adrenaline, Stacie Orrico, TobyMac, The Benjamin Gate, and Pax217.
The Curriculum Center is another fun draw for kids and parents. In addition
to ‘driving’ on an interactive magnetic roadway, kids can get a “Way to
Pray” sheet where they will answer how Jesus wants us to pray. Plus,
parents will receive information on bringing the Wild & Wacky Bible Lessons
Curriculum (now available from Group Publishing) to their church. Another
area for parents is the Parenting Center. Here they will be able to review
magazines and other materials specifically for them.
The Delivery Guy, from the Mr. Henry’s Wild & Wacky World video series, will
host the show interacting with kids. He will also award prizes to kids
participating in the Mr. Henry Theatre show.
The road show trailer will also serve as an advertising vehicle. Each side
will bear logos of all partners that are sponsoring the tour. Those
sponsors include: LifeWay Christian Stores, Lifeway Christian Stores.com,
Group Publishing, and ForeFront Records.
The Wild & Wacky Road Show will make over 35 stops this summer in 17 states.
The road show will appear at retail outlets and churches in Dallas, Houston,
Orlando, Birmingham, Charlotte, and many other cities. Festivals stops
include Celebrate Freedom in Dallas, TX, the Northwestern Festival in
Minneapolis, MN, and AtlantaFest at Six Flags Over Georgia.

Mr. Henry’s Wild & Wacky series (Tommy Nelson) features Frank Peretti in a
variety of roles – master storyteller, actor, and hero who talks directly to
children in a fun and entertaining way about how Jesus instructs them to
live their lives. The series teaches children core Biblical values and
principles using Bible stories and scripture. The series consists of the
Mr. Henry’s Wild & Wacky World videos, three titles were released in
February and three more will release in August. The series also includes an
audio collection, Mr. Henry’s Wild & Wacky Totally True Bible Stories, with
12 audio titles currently in the market and sales over 500,000 units. A
365-page Bible storybook, Mr. Henry’s Wild & Wacky Totally True Bible
Stories Storybook with free CD, will also release in August.
