Todd Agnew Announces Major Fall, Winter Tours

Multi-Dove Award nominee and Ardent Records signature-voiced artist, Todd Agnew, will be prominently featured on two national, major market tours this fall and winter.
Recently completing the successful, 25-city tour in support of his critically acclaimed debut, Grace Like Rain, Agnew’s career first as a headliner, he will additionally headline World Vision’s “In the Name of Love Tour” beginning this September and continue traversing the nation in November as a special guest on the Newsboys and Rebecca St. James “Adoration Tour.”
The two-and-a-half-hour “In the Name of Love Tour” event is sparked by the recent EMI/Sparrow benefit project uniting popular Christian artists, including Agnew, to record chart-topping U2 songs. Promoting the fight against AIDS in Africa and offered exclusively by the Greg Oliver Agency, the tour additionally features new EMI/Sparrow artist, Starfield, who also appears on the In the Name of Love: Artists United for Africa album; Word/Curb/Warner band, Building429; and Fervent Records’ BarlowGirl, the all-girl band that traveled with Agnew on his “Grace Like Rain Tour.” Speaker Bryan Currie and renowned youth speaker David Nasser will emcee the “In the Name of Love Tour.”
“We are very excited about the impact that this strong lineup will have on the tour,” says Pamela Muse, spokesperson for World Vision. “Not only do we have a great cause with these artists uniting together for the HIV/AIDS Pandemic in Africa, but the strategic alliance with LifeWay Resource’s Centrifuge will help us to get the word out about the fall concerts and the tour’s ministry potential.”
Furthermore, internationally renowned Newsboys and Rebecca St. James announced that Agnew will be the special guest on the “Adoration Tour” this November and December. On the heals of the Spring Tour, which sold out 25 of its 34 performances and played before 136,000 people, the tour’s Winter extension will hit key cities in the East, Midwest and mid-Atlantic regions.
“It has been such a wild ride this year with the unexpected journey into this industry, the huge reception to our music, and most importantly seeing God move night after night on the Grace Tour,” says Agnew. “We cannot even imagine what He has in store as we join World Vision and be a part of what He is doing across the world. And then we still get to connect with two ministries God is already using in awesome ways with the Newsboys and Rebecca St. James. It is our honor to be a part of it all and we can’t wait to see what He has planned.”
Released last July and quickly approaching 100,000 units in sales, Agnew’s Grace Like Rain has generated two No. 1 Christian CHR radio hits, “This Fragile Breath (The Thunder Song)” and its title cut. Moreover, Agnew this year garnered four Gospel Music Award (Dove) nominations, including “New Artist of the Year.” A Texas native, Agnew resides in Memphis, TN where he helps direct the worship program at High Point Church.
