The Revolve Tour Targets Girls in 7th-12th Grades

Women of Faith is launching “The Revolve Tour,” the organization¹s first nationwide conference designed especially for girls in the 7th-12th grades. The conferences are slated to begin in 2005.
“The Revolve Tour,” presented by Girls of Faith, a ministry division of Women of Faith, will feature ZOEgirl and Tammy Trent, as well as additional participants to be announced.  Curb recording artist Natalie Grant will step into the spotlight as a speaker, delivering a message on self-esteem.
Kicking-off in September in Orlando, Florida, the tour is slated to stop in Minneapolis; Portland, Oregon; Charlotte, North Carolina; and Hartford, Connecticut.  Conference topics include growing your faith, sexual purity, and friendship and family issues, among other themes.
“Addressing the all-important issue of self-esteem, I will talk about my own struggle with an eating disorder and the real and growing problem that teen girls face today with the increased social pressure to be what the world deems Œbeautiful,¹” Grant says.  “I hear about this issue from more women and girls than any other topic.  The national statistics are severely troubling: one in 100 women turn to bulimia as a way to lose weight. I am so grateful for the opportunity to tell thousands of girls the Truth that Jesus Christ created each life with a purpose and a destiny.  It is my prayer that these girls will leave the conferences better equipped to live the Christian life, with a greater understanding of who they are in Christ.”
