Country Music Hall of Fame members The Oak Ridge Boys have announced Buried Treasures, a deeply personal new album arriving October 30 via Lightning Rod Records. The title track, “Buried Treasure,” is available today, and album pre-orders are now open. Recorded in Nashville and produced by Anderson East with executive producer Dave Cobb, the collection brings the group’s signature harmonies to songs of faith, friendship, comfort, and love that have long held special meaning for them.
Songs of Faith, Family, and Timeless Favorites
“Every song on the album is about something that’s dear to us,” said Duane Allen. “These songs are all buried treasures — great songs we’ve loved and sung for years, and this is the first time we’ve brought them all together on one record.”
The 10-song set features the group’s only newly written track, “Buried Treasure,” composed by GRAMMY-winning songwriter Aaron Raitiere. The rest of the album includes classics such as “Bridge Over Troubled Water,” “Lean on Me,” “What a Wonderful World,” “Stardust,” and Billy Joe Shaver’s “Live Forever.” Gospel foundations shine through on “How Great Thou Art,” “Deep River,” and “Softly and Tenderly,” while “You Are So Beautiful” closes the project on a tender note.
William Lee Golden shared: “It was a lot of fun, reaching back to some of these classic songs. I feel like this album touched on our love of life, love of family, love of our mates that we’ve chosen in life, and also the love of God.”

“Buried Treasure” sounds like a fitting title for an album built around songs of faith, friendship, comfort, and love. I’m especially intrigued to hear how Anderson East’s production complements the Oak Ridge Boys’ signature harmonies.
