Tait Headlines E.R.A.C.E. University Tour in Grand Rapids

If you are anywhere near Grand Rapids, Michigan, you won’t want to miss seeing TAIT (which is the official name of the new band Michael Tait has put
together for his solo gig) performing on the campus of Cornerstone
University, Wednesday night, April 4th. The event is being sponsored by The
E.R.A.C.E. Foundation, and is the first in what may be a series of concerts
on The E.R.A.C.E. University Tour, heading out to some college and high
school campuses over the next year. The Grand Rapids show is a “pilot”
event that will raise awareness to issues of racism and will educate
students about what they can do to help eliminate racism and promote
reconciliation and unity on their campuses and in their youth groups.
TAIT will perform, along with 40 Records recording artist Sammy Ward, and DJ
Form of Grits. The event will also include a special video montage of
historic Civil Rights footage, and will be emceed by comedian John Gray
(formerly of Kirk Franklin’s Nu Nation). The concert takes place Wednesday
night, April 4th, at Cornerstone University’s Hansen Center arena at 7:00
p.m. General admission tickets are $12 advance/$15 at the door and are
available at all Tickets Plus locations and Family Christian Stores in Grand
Rapids, Kalamazoo, and Battle Creek, Michigan. Tickets may also be
purchased online at itickets or by phone
at (800) 965-9324. Group rates are available for 10 or more by contacting
(616) 957-0002.

You’ve been hearing about solo projects from the three dcTalk boys for quite
some time now, and the anticipated release dates are coming up.
Both Michael Tait and Kevin Max have pretty much wrapped up production on
each of their solo ventures set to release in late summer, while Toby
McKeehan is currently in the process of writing and recording for his own
solo debut set to release later in the year.
In the meantime, however, you can get an early taste of what these guys have
been working so hard on for the past year in a brand new special edition
project releasing on ForeFront Records April 24th. It’s a seven-song
project entitled Solo, and it will feature two tracks each from Toby
(“Somebody’s Watching Me,” “Extreme Days”), Tait (“Alibi,” “All You Got”),
and Kevin (“Be,” “Return of the Singer”), and one exclusive new dcTalk
recording, a live cover of U2’s “Forty.”
