After a successful promotional visit last September, Switchfoot returns to Australia next month for a full tour.
Since the release of “The Beautiful Letdown” CD in the general marketplace last year, the group’s smash hit “Meant To Live” has reached Top 5 on radio in the US and Canada, plus Top 25 in Australia.
Switchfoot’s second single “Dare You To Move” has reached Top 10 at Alternative and pop radio, Top 15 at Hot AC and Adult, and Top 30 on the US Hot 100.
In Australia, “Dare You To Move” has aired on B105, Nova network, Triple M Adelaide, Sea FM, plus many regional stations. And the video has aired on Video Hits, Rage, So Fresh and MTV.
The “Beautiful Letdown” has steadily gained increasing attention in mainstream music stores since its release in September. Not surprisingly, the CD is still one of the best selling CDs in the Australian Christian music sector after almost two years.
The band’s return to Australia is likely to include a performance at the inaugural MTV Video Music Awards in March.
