~ Super Bowl Service and Party at New Day Church in Bellevue: Don’t Let Your Mood Depend Upon the Outcome of the Game ~
Super Bowl LIX, the Chiefs vs. the Eagles, is today, and Pastor Jash Dean at New Day Church in Nashville (Bellevue) had a timely message to share for Super Bowl Sunday. He referenced the final judgment at the white alter when the sheep would be separated from the goats to portray the depth of seriousness of the final judgment.
“Hell is a real place and heaven is a real place,” he stated, pointing out that while many people believe in a heaven, not so many believe in hell.
“We know how the game is going to end and who is going to win.”
Pastor Dean said that after the Super Bowl, one can often tell the outcome of the game by the long faces of the fans and players, but that as Christians, we already know how the story ends.
He had a message of hope for the 30 or so people gathered at the Bellevue Community Center: We should have an eternal perspective on life. Our mood should NOT be based upon the ups and downs of life. “We know how the game is going to end and who is going to win.”
