Fashionpop’s new Christian band Stereoblis is performing at Dancin’ In The District this Thursday, May 17th (this is the first
D.I.T.D. of the year), along with other bands including Marathon, Will Hogue and headliners Sister
Hazel. Stereoblis plays promptly at 6:30 rain or shine.
While their message is Christian, sonically, Stereoblis can be compared to artists like Goo Goo
Dolls,
Matchbox 20 and Third Eye Blind and their sound has caught the attention of some mainstream
industry notables.
“We need as many people as possible to come and cheer for Stereoblis,” says Fashionpop’s Frank
Chimento. “Several
major labels are flying in from all over to check out this new band.”
All three members of Stereoblis live in Nashville. Fashionpop
Entertainment and Artist Agency are a local indie label and management company respectively.
“We need the support of the locals… especially the Christians,” Chimento states. “These guys are
Christians and nothing about their music or
lyrical content will be offensive the other Believers. Youth pastors and parents can be at ease.”
Chimento points out it isn’t often that a
new Christian band garners the attention of major mainstream labels right off the bat. “We hope to
make a lasting
impression on the major label ‘big wigs’ that are flying in to catch the
show.”
You can help Stereoblis make that lasting impression and perhaps be on hand for a little music
history in the making by catching Stereoblis at Dancin’ In The District, Thursday, May 17th.
