Soul2Soul Radio in partnership with Vision FM Australia will begin producing an all new international version of the popular Soul2Soul Radio program exclusively for the Australian Vision Radio Network. Produced by Audiacom in Louisville, Kentucky, Soul2Soul Australia will feature Australian on-air talents and be hosted by Vision FM’s Jason Myatt.
“It has been a pleasure to work with the team to produce an Aussie version of Soul2Soul,” said Phil Edwards, Broadcast Operations Manager, Vision FM. “The show captures both the power of music and the spoken testimony – which transcends any culture, but with the addition of a local host and imaging it’s potential impact has increased dramatically. Soul2Soul is a welcome addition to the 191 station-strong Vision Radio Network.”
Soul2Soul Radio began discussions with Vision FM in the Spring of 2004 about producing a version of Soul2Soul that would appeal to the broadest Australian audience possible. Soul2Soul Australia will maintain the relevancy and core content of the flagship Soul2Soul program, but will fit into the Vision FM culture. “Soul2Soul currently airs in 30 countries, however our relationship with Vision Fm allows us to go beyond exporting Soul2Soul’s unique content,” said Chris Coppernoll, President of Music Square West, Soul2Soul’s parent company. “For the first time we will be reshaping the program for greater impact in a distinct culture.”
Artists appearing on the flagship Soul2Soul program will also be featured guests on Soul2Soul Australia. Their music and interviews will remain unchanged. “Soul2Soul is not just a radio program, but an opportunity to communicate the truths of the Gospel through the stories and music from artists,” said Mike Becht, Executive Producer of Soul2Soul Australia. “We are pleased to partner with Vision Radio Network to produce a version of Soul2Soul that communicates the universal Gospel message and at the same time is culturally relevant and tailored for the Australian listener.”
Soul2Soul Australia will begin airing in November in locations ranging from Australia’s capital cities to rural communities canvassing key areas. “Through Soul2Soul Australia, Christian artists will reach even further outside the borders of the U.S., said Coppernoll. “After ten years, we’re still excited about the message in Christian music and are seeking every opportunity to promote that message to the world.”
Soul2Soul Australia is a division of Soul2Soul Radio International, a Music Square West company. Soul2Soul presents hour length interviews and music from Christian artists and is heard in 700 radio outlets around the globe. Recent guests include Michael W. Smith, Point of Grace, FFH, Caedmon’s Call, Nicole C. Mullen, Selah, Sandi Patty, Building 429, Bebo Norman, and Watermark. Celebrated it’s tenth year of radio broadcast, Soul2Soul is a nonprofit ministry that shares the Gospel through artist testimonies distributed through radio broadcasts and book publishing.
