Sources on Capitol Hill are anticipating that Senator John McCain’s choice for Vice President is Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, National Pro-Life Radio is reporting. Peroutka, Founder and CEO of National Pro-Life Radio and Chairman of the National Pro-Life Action Center in Washington, DC.
Rob Schenck, President of the National Clergy Council and a member of the National Pro-Life Action Center is in Dayton, Ohio this morning for the introduction of Governor Palin. Schenck (pronounced SHANK), who is present at the Nutter Center at Wright State University as a VIP guest of the McCain campaign, made the following statement on the anticipated announcement:
“Governor Palin is a committed and active Christian who takes her faith seriously and lives her pro-life and pro-family convictions. She adds moral strength to the ticket. This will go a long way in building important and strategic bridges for the McCain campaign,” says Schenck.
Sarah Palin was elected the first woman governor of Alaska. She is a long time member of Feminists for Life and is a strongly pro-life mother and environmental activist. She recently gave birth to her fifth child, born with Down Syndrome. She said she was advised to abort the child but steadfastly refused and welcomed their baby into her family.
