Three-time Dove Award nominee, Pam Thum,
was honored by the Salvation Army when her song “Let There Be Light” was
chosen as the theme song for a special “thank you” video for the Army’s
volunteers. The song is featured on Thum’s current CD, Let There Beâ€|, a
project which has already garnered two, top 5 Inspirational radio singles, as
well as landing a song in the #2 position on the national Praise & Worship
charts.
“I was thrilled when they asked to use the song,” said Thum. “The Salvation
Army is such an incredible organization of people who truly put their faith
into action. I am very honored.”
The Salvation Army, which was founded in 1865, has outreaches in 107
countries, serving people in more than 160 languages. Every year, the
Salvation Army enlists hundreds of thousands of volunteers for their numerous
humanitarian efforts. The video was produced as a “thank you” to all its
