Riggle to Offer Standup Comedy at Bluefield College

Christian comedian Randy Riggle will perform live on the campus of
Bluefield College, Thursday, September 11 at 9 p.m. in the Student
Activities Center as the college resumes its Comedy Club Series for the fall
2003 semester.

Riggle’s Bluefield College show is open and free to the public and will
feature a clean, refreshing approach to humor.

Riggle is a seasoned veteran of standup with more than 21 years of
experience touring the national comedy scene. His combination of innovative
style, quick wit and brilliant impressions has made him popular with all
types of audiences for many years. It is that type of versatility that also
has made Riggle one of the hottest tickets on college campuses.

Riggle debuted his talent during an “open mike” night at the Pittsburgh
Comedy Club in 1982. Since then, he has performed hundreds of shows on
college campuses like Penn State University, Ohio State University, and the
Universities of California and Hawaii. Riggle has also performed for such
corporations as Westinghouse, PNC Bank, and the United Steel Workers of
America.

Riggle has also written for many comedians, including Jay Leno and Joan
Rivers, and has opened for such acts as Dennis Miller, Rhonda Shear, Jerry
Seinfeld, Ellen Degeneres and Gallagher. In addition, his resume includes
numerous radio and television appearances on “Extra TV”, “America’s Funniest
People” and the “Star Search Special.” He is also a regular performer at the
world famous IMPROV Comedy Clubs.

The Riggle Comedy Club at BC will begin at 9 p.m. in the school’s
Student Activities Center in Shott Hall. For more information, please call
