Our church hosts a Harvest Festival each year on October 31. This is a wonderful opportunity for our children to dress up in costumes and get candy without “celebrating” Halloween.
The first year, my kids got to keep only half of the candy they received.
They kept forgetting to say, “Thank you,” when the candy was passed out at the various game booths. Our family rule is that if
you forget to be grateful, you must give the candy to Mom and Dad.
