Renowned Christian Magician David Garrard to Perform at Bluefield College

He’s more than just a magician. He’s a magician with a message. He’s nationally known entertainer David Garrard, and he’s coming to Bluefield
College, Saturday, September 8 at 7 p.m. as part of the school1s Family
Weekend 2001.

Entertaining audiences with magic since 1968, Garrard has long enjoyed
an excellent reputation as a quality performer, but now more and more
witnesses are realizing he1s a man who does more than just magic tricks.
He1s a man who uses magic to hold attention and drive home an important
message.

“Magic is what I do,” Garrard said, “but my hope and prayer is that
through my illusions people will come to know the reality of God1s love and
will experience the joy of the Christian faith in new and exciting ways.”

A native of Atlanta, Georgia, and current resident of Louisville,
Kentucky, Garrard uses stunning illusions to present Biblical themes of
God1s love that can be applied to day-to-day living. He blends his message
with magical illustrations in a way that impacts people and the work they
do.

“David Garrard has been my good friend for over 25 years, and he is one
of the most knowledgeable and proficient magicians I know,” said Lance
Burton, internationally known and award winning illusionist. “He is also a
fantastic entertainer that audiences of all ages can appreciate.”

Garrard1s creative approach to proclaiming the good news has made him
one of the industry1s most popular magicians. He has appeared extensively
throughout the United States and has also performed in Europe, Bermuda and
the Bahamas.

“He reaches out and grabs your attention with his magic, and then drives
home the message and love of our Lord Jesus,” said Robin Smart of First
Baptist Church in Columbus, Georgia, who recently saw Garrard perform.

Garrard’s show at Bluefield College is a part of a series of activities
scheduled during the school1s fall Family Weekend. The program is open to
the public and free of charge. For more information, please call the BC
