Rebecca St. James to Launch Fall Tour

Grammy Award-winning ForeFront recording artist Rebecca St. James is slated to kick-off her “Wait For
Me” Fall Tour tonight in Miami. Also featuring Rachael Lampa, Tree63 and Fusebox, the Tour is sponsored by Compassion
International and is titled after St. James’ current hit single from her Transform recording.
The “Wait For Me” Tour is scheduled to stop in more than 40 markets including Atlanta; Fort Worth, Texas; St. Paul, Minnesota;
Omaha, Nebraska; and Mobile, Alabama, before wrapping-up November 18 in Dodge City, Kansas. Three of the first four
performances are already confirmed sell-outs, beginning with tonight’s show in Miami, as well as concerts in Fort Myers, Florida,
on September 17, and the September 16 stop in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, which sold-out in just over 24 hours.
“Rebecca St. James continues to sing emotionally charged and Christ-centered songs that families and young adults can relate to,”
said Dave St. John, program director, Christian Hit Radio 88.1 WAY-FM. “Many women look to Rebecca as a role model, and the
opportunity to spend an evening with her was obviously a can’t miss in south Florida.”
“The ‘Wait For Me’ Tour, with the single, is generating a lot of excitement out there,” said Randy Humphries, Jeff Roberts &
Associates. “It is a great line-up with Rachael Lampa and Tree63, and a package the public wants, as demonstrated by strong ticket
sales. Rebecca’s spring tour raised her level of exposure, and ‘Wait For Me’ promises to continue that growth.”
“I am excited and have a strong sense of anticipation regarding the ‘Wait For Me’ Tour,” said St. James. “The song ‘Wait For Me,’
with its message of sexual purity, has hit a chord with people more than any song I have ever written.”
“On this Tour, people can expect not only a night of music but also a time of praise & worship; a call for radical commitment to
God; and a challenge for young people to live a life of purity. Hopefully we will see many lives given over to God for the first time
and many Christians fully surrendered to Him.”
“Our deepest sympathy is with those who have been directly affected by the tragedy in Washington, D.C., New York, and
Pennsylvania,” added St. James. “To me it is a wake-up call for us to realize that the things we touch and see are uncertain, but God
is not. May our complete trust be put in Him. Pray for us as we begin the Tour tonight and that God will give me the words to
speak in the concert.”
Written by St. James to encourage sexual abstinence until marriage, “Wait For Me” is featured on an interactive CD included in a
special print run of best-selling author Joshua Harris’ newest Multnomah title, “Boy Meets Girl.” In addition to the song, the
interactive CD also features video interview footage from St. James and Harris.
“Wait For Me” is currently #4 on The CCM Update’s CHR Top 20 and is also #14 on The CCM Update’s Adult Contemporary
Top 20, according to the publication’s September 10 issue. In addition, a music video for “Wait For Me,” directed by Eric Welch
for Broken Poet Productions, was recently shot in Nashville.
