On Tuesday, February 24th, The JOY FM welcomed Rebecca St. James and over 800 fans to Living Word Christian Store in Sarasota to celebrate the release of her new “Live Worship” album.
On the evening of the 24th, Rebecca welcomed over 500 JOY FM listeners to an exclusive pre-screening of Mel Gibson’s “The Passion of the Christ”. This was a special experience for our listeners, because this was also Rebecca’s first time to view this life-changing film.
Rebecca called the movie “definitely the most faith-deepening film” she has ever seen. “I wept and empathized with Jesus like never before,” St. James says, adding, “I now understand, almost as if I was there, what he went through for me.” About producer-director Mel Gibson, who spent part of his childhood growing up in Australia, she remarked, “I truly believe Mel Gibson has been used as an instrument of God in reaching out to Christians and non-Christians alike with this film.”
