Randy Travis will be releasing his highly anticipated upcoming project, Passing Through on November 9, as a follow-up to his highly successful Word/Warner Bros. Records projects Rise & Shine and Worship & Faith.
Passing Through will showcase Travis’s unmatched story-telling and communicative ability through song, in a familiar yet new way for his millions of fans and listeners. The project will be released into Country and Christian outlets, throughout multi-genre distribution outlets.
The first single from Passing Through, will be released in early fall, with more details and add dates regarding the single and the album release to come.
Travis, who’s #1 hit, "Three Wooden Crosses" from his project Rise & Shine, won "Song of the Year" honors at the 2004 Academy of Country Music Awards (ACMs), Country Recorded Song of the Year at GMA's 35th Annual Music Awards on April 28, and received "Song of the Year" honors at the 37th Annual Country Music Association (CMA) awards show as well as from the Christian Country Music Association and The Nashville Songwriters Association.
In February, Travis picked up his fourth GRAMMY Award, for Rise and Shine which won for "Best Southern, Country or Bluegrass Gospel Album." Travis' albums also have been the recipient of the past two Dove Awards for Country Album of the Year - Rise and Shine in 2003 and Worship and Faith this year.
In addition to accepting an award, Travis also presented the "Academy of Country Music/Home Depot Humanitarian Award" to recipient Martina McBride.
