Rachel Hurt from Shepherdsville, KY, won the GMA Academy Artist and Song of 2007 talent competition at the 33rd GMA Music in the Rockies in Estes Park, CO, Aug. 3. Hurt will perform at Night of Joy in Walt Disney World Sept. 7-8. She was also selected to record a song on Indelible Creative Group’s annual multi-artist project, Velocity (Word) and CCM Magazine’s CCM New Music Collection, Vol. 2, a sampler CD included in the magazine’s November/December double issue.
