Jovi Music artist, Puchi Colon & Band announces the launch of their 9th studio project, Fortaleceme, available now. Described as the band’s most compelling Salsa work to date, Fortaleceme represents a collaborative effort and claims the hit song “Carpintero” as its debut radio single. Puchi Colon & his Band plans to support the release with tour dates in select cities this Spring/Summer (visit www.puchicolon.com for futher details).
The first Spanish-language Salsa album since Busca A Jesus(2000), Fortaleceme is consistent with Puchi’s trademark, NY Salsa sound, displayed throughout 8 tracks ranging from high-energy spanish salsa praise anthems to reflective worship ballads & pop. Recorded & mixed in NJ, Fortaleceme features production by Puchi Colon, in cooperation with arrangements by Efrain Davila Jr, Mike Colon & Puchi Colon.
Puchi Colon has also been nominated for Favorite Latin Artist, under the category of Alternative & Latin. Also, Lo Mejor de Mi, Para El(2004) has been nominated for the Outstanding Latin CD at the American Christian Music Awards. In addition, Puchi Colon has been invited to participate in the American Christian Awards as a “presenter”, on October 15, 2005, at the Union-Edicott Theatre (Greater Binghamton, NY). Possible band performance pending.
