To say the 21st Century has become a pressure cooker is an under-statement as liberals and conservatives grow less and less tolerant of each other and as terrorists use their religion to cause violence and harm to others. However, it is certain that all acts of violence are not caused by liberals, conservatives or religion. The motive behind the Boston Marathon attack which killed at least three remains unknown as of yet.
More than 170 people were brutally injured by two pressure cooker bombs which went off after the Boston Marathon winners had crossed the finish line while others were still completing the course. Children, parents, singles, grandparents, runners — so many people injured in such a senseless fashion. Although it is hard to wrap our minds around such a brutal and cowardly act, to most Americans it was a sad reminder of 9-11 as well as other terrorist incidents.
To others it is a reminder of school shootings and other recent acts of violence. In the face of such tragedy, will we try to address America’s real issues and help our country return to its moral center or will some politician find it campaign-worthy to impose a ban on pressure cookers now?
Join us as we pray for the victims of the Boston Marathon Massacre and their families as well as the damaged and misguided souls who somehow make a decision to pursue such senseless violence. God bless American and bring revival and healing to the land.
2 Timothy 4:7– I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
