Plus One Signs with New Label, Management and Booking

Plus One, winner of the 2001 GMA New Artist of the Year, returns to GMA this year as a
dynamic foursome, announcing today their signing to Inpop Records through an unprecedented partnership and
new imprint label.
Inpop Records, founded in 1999 in Franklin, Tenn., well known for their focus on artist development, is a division
of 1-2-3 Entertainment, a multi-faceted company which incorporates recording, live event production,
management, music publishing and touring.
With its deliberate focus on artist development, Inpop is already making an immediate impact on the Christian
music industry. Plus One’s strategic partnership with Inpop Records will provide new opportunities for the group,
including strong connections with their current and a new fan base, promoters, youth groups and festivals.
Wes Campbell, partner with 1-2-3 Entertainment/Inpop records, says, “From the very beginning, Inpop has been
a record label that is committed to artist development. We believe that our team’s unique vision and abilities are
a perfect match for a band like Plus One. We’re very excited about this opportunity and look forward to this new
chapter in Plus One’s remarkable career.”
Campbell and business partners Charlie Lico and Newsboys frontman Peter Furler will oversee the growth and
direction for Inpop Records. Charlie Lico, 25-year veteran entertainment executive, recently joined Inpop records
and co-founded 1-2-3 Entertainment as partner and CEO of the company. The team at Inpop desires to use
the many resources available through 1-2-3 entertainment to create new opportunities for artists and quickly
adapt to the ever-changing business environment.
“We are truly excited to enter into this new partnership with Inpop and 1-2-3 Entertainment. We intentionally
chose to be with the Inpop family because of their vision and strong belief in our future,” stated Plus One
member Nate Cole. “We look forward to a long relationship with this new team, and building a strong connection
with youth in and outside of the church.”
The new Plus One deal also comes on the heels of major career moves for the group including a new management relationship with Paradigm Management. Owned by Teresa Davis, who has an
impressive 10 year history in the Christian music industry and manages some of its strongest touring and
recording artists, currently representing artists such as KJ52, Mizzie and other developing acts.
In addition, Plus One has entered into a new booking relationship with Jeff Roberts & Associates, one of
Christian music’s best known and respected booking agents with a 20-year history of representing the industry’s
top acts.
Winner of the most recent CCM Readers’ Award for Band of the Year in 2002, Plus One has made strong
musical moves to stay current in a changing musical climate and has experienced unprecedented success in
both the Christian and mainstream arenas. The Nashville-based band, still holding the record for the most units
scanned by any debut CCM artist, is made up of Nathan Walters, Nate Cole, Jeremy Mhire and Gabe Combs.
Former member Jason Perry left the group in late 2002.
With a new year, the gold-selling act continues to gain momentum in both the Christian and mainstream arena.
Plus One is currently in the studio working on an upcoming 2003 release and will be the featured artist this year
in various world-renown conventions including Promise Keepers and Xtreme Summer Conference, among
others. Plus One also recently co-headlined the highly successful Winter Jam 2003 nationwide tour.
Since their debut, Plus One has soared to new heights in the music industry. Winning a Dove Award for New
Artist of the Year in 2001, they also saw The Promise reach its RIAA gold status in less than 10 months and
garner the CBA Retailer’s Choice Award for Best Pop Contemporary Album of the Year. Plus One has appeared
on numerous national television shows including “Touched By An Angel,” Days Of Our Lives,” and “Live with
Regis & Kelly,” as well as the CBS Evening News, ABC Christmas Special and a CNN World Beat special,
Entertainment Tonight, Nickelodeon’s Slime Time Live, CBS Network News special and Music Choice’s ON
STAGE Concert Series, among others. In addition to television appearances, Plus One has also graced the
covers of a number of high-profile publications, such as Release, CCM, Brio, GMA Today among others,
including mainstream success coverage in Teen People and The Wall Street Journal. Their portraits featured on
5 million Armour Lunchmaker boxes as a part of Radio Disney promotion, the group has also toured relentlessly
since the beginning opening for Jessica Simpson, sharing stages with Rachel Lampa and Stacie Orrico,
headlining their own 40-city tour with Phat Chance, Natalie Grant and ZOEgirl, the first-ever sponsorship by
Trans World Entertainment of a Christian act.
